We hope that you have been taking care and staying safe throughout these challenging times. At Britannia Lodge, there have been various measures implemented to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus within the facility. We are fortunate that as of today, we have not yet had to declare an outbreak at Britannia Lodge.
As the province gradually begins to reopen, we would like to assure you that the health and safety of the residents is our main priority. The staff and management at Britannia Lodge are remaining cautious and most restrictions will stay in place for the foreseeable future. However, we acknowledge that this has been a challenging time for many people, and you may miss the comfort of visiting your loved ones. As the weather improves and the number of active cases declines, we hope to begin accommodating visits from friends and family members in the gardens of the facility. There will be protocols in place and social distancing measures will be maintained. Until then, we encourage you to maintain communications with residents over the phone or through the internet.
We will keep you informed of any major updates and will be in touch if any cases present themselves at Britannia Lodge. If a resident tests positive with COVID-19, their physician will be in touch with their family. If you have any questions regarding the care of your loved one in the meantime, please feel free to contact the facility.
